The Bio Logic Foundation exists to bring independent evidence and plain understanding to areas of health science moving faster than the record that documents them.
What that means
New science arrives faster than the structures built to document it. Claims circulate before anyone has measured them; people make decisions on reputation, forum consensus, and whatever a seller chose to publish. The Foundation's work is to close that gap from both ends — to put independent measurement where there was assertion, and to build a record that accumulates rather than resets. That means measuring through parties with nothing to gain from the result, publishing what is found whether or not it flatters anyone, keeping it permanently and in public, and explaining it in terms a person can actually use. None of this is advocacy. The Foundation takes no position on whether any compound is good, safe, or worth taking. It exists so that those questions can eventually be answered by evidence rather than argued from belief.
Where we started
Research peptides are where this gap is widest right now, so they are where we started. They are sold online through far more resellers than there are manufacturers, and the evidence behind them is mostly a certificate of analysis the seller commissioned, from a laboratory the seller chose, for a sample the seller picked, published at the seller's discretion.
Some sellers test carefully and honestly. The trouble is that a buyer can't tell them apart from the ones who don't, and nothing links the certificate on the page to the vial in the box. Why reputation isn't verification →
What we call for
From sellers
- Tie every published test to a declared lot.
- Publish every result, not the best one.
- Let someone else choose the laboratory.
- Label strength honestly, including whether it is the powder or the peptide alone.
- Report how much is in the vial, not only how pure it is.
- Date every test, and retire certificates for stock that has sold out.
From laboratories
- State accreditation precisely: the body, the certificate and the tests it covers.
- Make every report confirmable with the laboratory directly.
- Never let a client edit or withdraw a report once issued.
- Disclose methods, so results can be compared honestly.
From anyone who certifies
- Test blind on both sides: the laboratory shouldn't know whose sample it is, and the seller shouldn't know which laboratory tests it.
- No pass or fail without a real standard behind it.
- Say who pays, and never let fees depend on a result.
- Publish the method and its precision.
- Keep the record permanent. Correct it in the open.
Accountability
Transparency only works if someone checks. Buyers, reviewers and the industry itself should expect evidence for every claim about what is in a product, and treat a claim that can't be checked as exactly that.
We hold ourselves to the same standard, in writing, below.
Research
For many of these compounds there is little formal research, and no system that records what happens once they are in use. What people know comes mostly from anecdote, forums and marketing.
Even careful observation runs into the same wall: if nobody knows what was actually in the vial, nobody can say what caused what. Real research has to start with verified products. The Foundation is developing research tools built on that principle, with privacy designed in from the start. We'll share more when there is something to show.
Our commitments
The Foundation owns Bonded Lot, the certification program behind the BONDED LOT mark. The Foundation owns Bonded Lot, which is funded by the fees its certification program charges.
The Bio Logic Foundation:
- does not and will not produce, sell, distribute or market any product Bonded Lot certifies, or any other research compound, and takes no commission, affiliate payment or revenue share on any sale of them;
- takes no part in certification: no testing, laboratory selection, certification decision, fee-setting or enforcement;
- gives sellers no standing in its research. No seller can buy access to, or any standing in, the Foundation's research data, and sellers are excluded as buyers of that data;
- publishes its research on any compound, including adverse outcomes its users report, regardless of whether any seller is a customer of Bonded Lot;
- uses only the published record. It receives no confidential seller information and no results of lots that were never released, and nothing flows back from its research to Bonded Lot or to any seller.
